Held one day prior to the show, Association Day is one of the big successes of IMEX. Every year 300 association professionals from over 30 countries attend Association Day and Evening.

Education

A programme designed to energise and engage Association Executives, supported and co-delivered by some of the global industry's leading associations including ICCA, PCMA and ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.

There will be specialised educational tracks for executive, operations and meetings staff with sessions delivered by your association peers.

An entire day dedicated to varying association issues at all levels. Education sessions are designed to provide professional educational updates in fundamental areas, plus expert introductions to hot topics. Subjects covered include new membership models, entering new markets, innovative ideas for growing your association, building an effective congress strategy and more.

Networking

Networking coffee breaks and Round table discussions later in the afternoon provide ample opportunity for delegates to meet and connect with peers from the other industry sectors and in other roles.

As always, the days’ education will be followed by an extremely popular and highly sociable networking evening bringing 900 friends, old and new, and major exhibitors together.

How to Attend

Buyers are invited to attend either as part of the IMEX hosted buyer programme, as a hosted buyer or independently as a trade visitor.

Entry to the Association Day and Evening programme is by registration only. Registration is free of charge.

Attend in one of two ways:

• As a visitor: Association Executives who wish to attend Association Day and IMEX on their own terms can register as a visitor. Visitors must register attendance with Natasha Richards: natasha.richards@imexexhibitions.com.

• As a hosted buyer: Association Executives who organise meetings internationally may qualify for the hosted buyer programme and attend IMEX as guests of the organisers. More about the hosted buyer programme and whether you qualify.

Association Evening

The evening function takes place from 19:00 on Monday 20 May at The Westin Hotel, Frankfurt.

The evening function is open to exhibitors who are members of one of the organising associations (ICCA, AIPC, IAEE, DMAI, IAPCO, ESAE, PCMA, ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership) and Association Executives. Due to the popularity of the event, a maximum of two people per company may register. Registration is free of charge and will be available through the associations from March 2013.
