Cross Cultural Skills

Building trusting relationships across borders and more business through better communications.
IMEX partners with world experts Richard Lewis Communications to enhance multicultural communication and understanding in the meetings and incentive travel industry.
Joanne Webster, Senior Trainer and Account Manager, Richard Lewis Communications will lead a seminar titled 'Persuasive Communication and Negotiation across Cultures'. Recognising that communicating persuasively and negotiating a result that satisfies all parties is even more of a challenge across cultures. In this session, attendees will learn how a model of culture (the Lewis Model), can be a useful way of preparing to get your ideas across persuasively to people who think, behave and communicate differently from you.
Joanne will also lead the 'Culture Active' campfire sessions to help delegates gain an insight into their own cultural profile and what it means for their daily work in the MICE industry.
