Frankfurt Tours

Details of the IMEX 2011 Frankfurt Tours will be posted on this page in the weeks prior to the show.

Frankfurt City Tour

Frankfurt Tourist and Congress Board offered free city tours to IMEX 2010 participants.

Free guided coach tours of Frankfurt open to all IMEX participants took place on 24 and 28 May 2010. The tours started and ended at the main train station and took participants along the river to Sachsenhausen where the city's traditional apple wine is made, on to the centre and the Kaiserdom (cathedral), then to historic Römerberg and past Goethe-Haus, where one of Germany's most famous poets was born, to the tallest observation deck in the city - the Main Tower. On the way back participants went past the opera house and the botanical gardens - the Palmengarten.

Frankfurt Shopping Tour

New for 2010, Frankfurt Tourist and Congress Board also offered a free shopping tour to IMEX participants on 27 May.  They were taken by coach from Messe Frankfurt into the city centre and escorted on foot through the main shopping areas including Zeil, Goethestrasse and Schillerstrasse, taking in exclusive designer boutiques as well as the Kleinmarkthalle, Frankfurt's famous farmers' market.  Shopping maps were given out and transport back to Messe Frankfurt was included - with free public transport tickets for those who wanted to linger in the shops longer.

Wertheim Village Designer Outlet Shopping Tour

The Wertheim Village Designer Outlet Shopping Tour took place on Friday 28 May. Wertheim Village is one of Germany’s top destinations for designer outlet shopping, only an hour’s drive from Frankfurt.
