Pierre Sonigo is the General Secretary of FERMA, the Brussels based European Federation of Risk Manager Associations, representing 15 different countries and 4800 individual members. He is the former Vice-President of Environment and Risk Management for the Pechiney Group, a French multinational conglomerate involved in Aluminium and Packaging (Pechiney was acquired by Alcan in 2004). In his position, he was responsible for implementing the Group Sustainable Development and Corporate Social responsibility Strategies. Prior to this, he held several positions in Insurance and Risk management in multinational companies. He holds university degrees in engineering, economics, insurance and risk management. He was a speaker at many international conferences, the author of several articles and a professor at French schools and universities |
