Sustainability Hub
Stand G650
The Sustainability Hub is 'Powered by GMIC' (the Green Meeting Industry Council). The Council was formed to improve meeting management practices by promoting environmentally responsible strategies through the collaborative efforts of the hospitality industry, corporations, government and community organisations. The Sustainability Hub provides both exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to increase their awareness and knowledge of both environmental and social responsibility. The Hub offers expert advice, tool kits and case studies and is built from environmentally responsible stand materials by fairservices.net. The Estoril Congress Centre provides the fantastic 'green' furniture made from recycled materials. |

Education at the Sustainability Hub
The Sustainability Hub together with the Green Meeting Industry Council host several environmental seminars. These are a series of drop-in workshops that run throughout the day at the show. They include case studies from previous award winners and ‘how to go green’ sessions with advice about where and how to start, as well as information on more advanced green policies and practices. To see the full education programme for all three days click here.
Giving Back ProgrammeSupporting local charities in the cities and regions where IMEX takes place. In Frankfurt this is done through our Badge Back Programme which supports our legacy projects. Maisha's Sewing Project - Integration for African Women Through Sewing - a non-profit NGO (non government organisation) which supports African women living in Germany with issues such as health, integration, intercultural communication, language, education, career, dealing with the German authorities, and crisis situations. They encourage African women to become active in their local community whilst still maintaining their culture and background. The project provides training and earning opportunities to groups of women, teaching them how to sew, with the goal of selling their products to guest houses and small hotels. The women from Maisha will be on the Sustainability Hub showing off their wares on Wednesday - 10.30am – 14.00.
