For taking part in the IMEXrun

Organisation

The IMEXrun in Frankfurt is a promotional 5km running event, a physical and wellbeing activity organised by WEC GmbH in partnership with IMEX. It’s part of the ‘Be Well at IMEX’ initiatives and the rules of the event should be understood by all participants before taking part.

Location and date

The IMEXrun in Frankfurt takes place on Wednesday 15 May 2024 starting at 7:00. The meeting point and main event support area is at the Main river north side, close to the Holbeinsteg Bridge.

Registration

The registration is exclusive to participants of the IMEX in Frankfurt 2024 exhibition. Registration is free of charge and participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Registrations will be accepted until 6:00 on the day of the event, 15 May. There is a limit of 500 participants, after which registration will be closed.

Participants are allowed to edit their registration information up to 24 hours before the event. The request for amendment must be made formally and in writing to the following email address: IMEXrun@wec.is

T-shirts

Each participant receives a complimentary t-shirt.
 

• Participants must wear and make clearly visible throughout the IMEXrun the t-shirt provided by the organisers.

Behaviour and conduct

The organisation will prevent anyone from participating in the following circumstances:
 

• Noncompliance with the course
• Unsporting behaviour

Classification, results and prizes

Classification is individual and is assigned by arrival at the finishing line, after full completion of the race route. Photographs and event video will be available through the IMEX website and the social networks of the other organisations and partners.

The top three female participants and the top three male participants will be presented with a trophy at the podium ceremony.

• There will be a maximum of one hour from the starting time for participants to complete the fun run.

Image rights and data protection

By taking part in this event each participant authorises the organisers of IMEXrun to take photographs and film their participation in the IMEXrun. In addition, the participant consents the publication, commercial and advertising usage of the images taken during the IMEXrun. Images will not be used for any other purposes than those stated previously. Participants may exercise their rights to access, rectify, cancel or oppose their personal data by sending an email to: IMEXrun@wec.is. The IMEXrun organisers own all of the image rights of the event exclusively. Any media or advertising projects exploiting the image of IMEXrun must have the organiser’s consent.

Each participant’s personal data provided at the registration will be used by the organisers for the purpose of managing, organising, producing, communicating, publishing race results and ensuring the safety of participants.This data may also be used for future communications about sporting or well being activities. The data will only be used by the organisers and partners.

Insurance

At the time of the start of the IMEXrun in Frankfurt all participants should be in good physical and mental health and be clearly able to take part in the IMEXrun. The IMEXrun is fully covered by the organiser’s liability insurance. The organiser will not be held responsible for situations that are not covered by this insurance.

Weather

The organisation will give appropriate advice to participants dependant on weather conditions e.g. use of hat and sun cream in the heat and plan sessions accordingly. Cancellation of the event will be considered if weather conditions make it unsafe to run.

Refreshments

Water will be provided at the start/finish line.

Medical Services

All participants must sign a waiver accepting medical risk with participating in the run

• The organizer will do a warm-up and cool down activity at the start and end of the event
• A medical services will be available on-site

Traffic/road crossing on route

Participants must use crossings provided and reinforced during the event. There will be several safety runners and stewards placed along the route.
